How HolderTax is paid.

Short version: we are paid when readers engage professionals or software through this site. That payment never changes what we publish. The long version follows.

Revenue sources

Adviser routing. When the routing service is live, HolderTax is paid by professionals for reader introductions. The professionals a reader is matched with are selected by jurisdiction and issue type — never by who pays more. Reviewing professionals may also receive referrals in the areas they review; both roles are disclosed wherever they meet.

Software referrals. Some pages link to tax software. Where a link pays us a commission, the page says so. Simple situations are pointed to software before professionals — including where that pays us less — because sending a simple return to a specialist is bad advice with good margins, and we do not publish bad advice.

Professional subscriptions. Practitioners may subscribe to the change log and verification data.

What we are never paid for

No one can pay to change a published position, a status mark, a review conclusion, or the order of anything editorial. No jurisdiction, exchange, protocol or product pays for coverage or its absence. We hold no positions in the assets our pages discuss and do not publish investment advice of any kind.

The test we invite

Every position links its primary source. If a page's conclusion and its source disagree, we have made an error — report it under the corrections policy and watch the change log.
