Two preferences are saved in your browser's local storage, on your device only: your theme choice (day/night) and, if you accept the suggestion banner, your language-and-jurisdiction choice. Neither is transmitted to us. Clearing your browser storage removes both.
On our side
The source build sets no first-party cookies, advertising trackers or fingerprinting code. On public indexable pages only, HolderTax uses Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and referral patterns. Ahrefs states that this analytics product does not use cookies or persistent identifiers and does not store raw IP addresses. It processes the page URL, referrer and user-agent information, and derives country/city from the visitor IP before discarding the raw IP. Draft, reviewer and other noindex tax pages do not load the Ahrefs analytics script.
Public pages also load web fonts from Google Fonts and Google's Preferred Sources publisher control. Those third-party hosts receive the ordinary technical information needed to serve their resources. A production hosting provider may additionally keep server logs for operation and security. Ahrefs' own privacy policy applies to its processing. Ahrefs notes that site operators remain responsible for their own obligations under applicable privacy law.
The tools pages
Calculations on tool pages (such as the holding-period checker) run entirely in your browser. Dates you enter are not sent anywhere.
The contact form
If you use the contact form, you submit your email address, topic and message, plus any name or jurisdiction you choose to add. The message is delivered to the HolderTax operator at public@holdertax.com. The form does not accept attachments, does not create a professional-client relationship and is not a secure channel for tax returns, identity documents, wallet keys or other sensitive records.
The hosting provider may process the request and ordinary server-log data needed to deliver and protect the form. Messages are kept in the operator mailbox only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, keep correction or review records, protect the service and meet legal obligations. You may ask about access or deletion through the privacy contact below.
